As part of the implementation of a joint Ukrainian-German project, the scientists of the department took a remote part in the work of the 8th European Medical and Biological Engineering Conference, organized by the Slovenian Society of Medical and Biological Engineering and the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering ( IFMBE), held in Slovenia from November 29 to December 3, 2020. All traditional BME areas were presented at the conference, as well as new ones such as artificial intelligence in healthcare, tissue engineering, bioinformatics, neurotechnology, electroporation-based treatment and technologies for medicine and biology. Report “Application of Artificial Neural Networks for Analysis of Ice Recrystallization Process for Cryopreservation” by the authors Maksym Tymkovych, Oleksandr Gryshkov, Karina Selivanova, Vitalii Mutsenko, Oleg Avrunin, Birgit Glasmacher and “Application of SOFA Framework for Physics-Based Simulation of Deformable Human Anatomy of Nasal Cavity” by Maksym Tymkovych, Oleksandr Gryshkov, Oleg Avrunin, Karina Selivanova, Yana Nosova, Vitalii Mutsenko, Natalia Shushliapina, Birgit Glasmacher were included in the collective monograph of Springer.
