March 24, 2018 is World Tuberculosis Day. On this occasion, on March 23, 2021, an online scientific symposium was held under the auspices of the World Health Organization and the International Society of Radiology, dedicated in particular to the role of screening radiography and modern information technologies in improving the efficiency of tuberculosis detection. At the invitation of specialists from the Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology named after V.I. S.P. Grigoriev of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, more than 20 students and graduates, postgraduates and teachers of the BMI department, who study at the CPE on courses on radiation safety in medicine, joined the broadcast. The reports noted the need to develop portable X-ray systems and highly efficient software for image recognition based on artificial intelligence.

Such events and fruitful cooperation with stakeholders and representatives of the practice base testify to the sustainable development goals of the university.
