Professor Oleg Avrunin in an interview with a multimedia journalist platform international broadcasting of Ukraine Ukrinform spoke about some promising developments of the department concerning methods nasal breathing testing, detection respiratory sniffing disorders, assessment of fine motor skills hands, medical navigation and training systems for minimally invasive surgery.

In particular, it was about the developed at the department testing device nasal breathing TNDA-PVC, based on which developed methods for diagnostics of respiratory sniffing disorders, which is important for defining recovery of smell after COVID-19 disease, approaches to computer planning of rhinosurgery interventions and identifying the potential of athletes when performing physical loads. Attention is also paid to developed and already well tested methods definitions characteristics of fine motor skills of hands, creating methods for neuronavigation and training systems for minimally invasive surgery.
