Scientists of the Department of BMI published results of cooperation with colleagues from Institute of Scintillation Materials NAS Ukraine

Co-authored with a team of scientists from Institute of Scintillation Materials NAS Ukraine in the magazine of the second quartile Chemical Physics Letters Publishers Elsevier has published an article “Switching the type of redox activity of colloidal nanoceria by Re3 + (Re = Y, Eu, Tb) doping ” https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0009261421000464 The article is devoted to the study of special redox properties nanoceria. Nanocrystalline cerium dioxide- nanocerium has established itself as an inorganic antioxidant with unique antioxidant properties, has high biocompatibility, low toxicity and high redox inactivation in nutriccellular ROS and highly active free radicals. The study was funded by a grant from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for young scientists “Development redox nanomaterials with controlled antioxidant activity based on nanocrystals “.

Such research in the field of nanotechnology is one of the promising areas of scientific activities of the department.
