Elsevier has published an article “Switching
the type of redox activity of colloidal
nanoceria by Re3 + (Re = Y, Eu, Tb)
doping ”
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0009261421000464
The article is devoted to the study of special
redox
properties
nanoceria.
Nanocrystalline cerium dioxide-
nanocerium has established itself as
an inorganic antioxidant with
unique antioxidant
properties, has high biocompatibility,
low toxicity and high
redox inactivation
in nutriccellular ROS and highly active
free
radicals.
The study was funded by a grant from the National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine
for young scientists “Development
redox nanomaterials with
controlled antioxidant
activity
based on nanocrystals “.
Such research in the field of nanotechnology
is one of the promising areas of scientific
activities of the department.
