The National Research Foundation of Ukraine announced a competition of projects for the implementation of scientific research and development “Science for safety and sustainable development of Ukraine “. https://nrfu.org.ua/category/contests-posts/ The purpose of the competition is to finance the best scientific projects, aimed at solving urgent problems of human and social security in Ukraine. The competition is held in areas of research, related to health protection, ensuring biological, environmental, food security, information and social safety, responding to challenges in natural and man-made emergencies, overcoming medico-biological, psychological and the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and related legal issues

According to the terms of the competition, only a scientist who meets the following criteria at the same time can be a project supervisor: has scientific degree obtained or recognized in Ukraine; has a Hirsch index of at least 5 (according to Scopus) and is the author (or co-author) of at least 5 publications for the period 2012-2021 Periodicals classified under the first (Q1) and second (Q2) quartiles according to the Journal Citation Reports classification or Scimago.

Four scientists at the BMI department meet these very strict requirements at once: A.G. Avrunin, K.M. Music, Yu.T. Zholudov and D.V. Snezhko.

We also remind you that the only project of the NFDU from KNURE in 2020 was won by the BMI department: “The latest (electro) chemiluminescence (bio) sensor platforms with laser-induced functional micro- and nanostructures ”. Scientific supervisor – Professor Music K.M.
