A student of the BMIim-20-1 group, Mahmoud Ali Abbas, is completing his master's work on the topic "Chest CT Dose Monitoring System in the Diagnosis of COVID-19"

Mahmoud Aly Abbas Khattab, a student of the BMEim-20-1 group, is completing a Master’s thesis “Chest CT Dose monitoring system in  COVID-19 diagnosis”. In preparation for his work, he participated in the experimental work of the Central Laboratory of Radiation Safety and Dosimetry of Medical Irradiation of Grigoriev Institute for Medical Radiology and Oncology NAMS of Ukraine (Head of the laboratory Ph.D. Larysa Stadnyk). The student got acquainted with the unique equipment for thermoluminescent dosimetry of CT systems using anthropomorphic dosimetric phantom. According to the results of measurements, the calculations of the effective dose in CT were performed and ways to reduce it were found, which is especially important in repeated CT studies of patients with COVID-19. The work is relevant in terms of implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 17
