The number of women in science is gradually increasing, but still accounts for no more than 33% of all scientists in the world.
L’Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science
https://www.forwomeninscience.in.ua/ is aimed at strengthening the position of women in science, maintaining advanced scientific experience and promoting talented female students in the recognition they deserve. The award has been implemented in Ukraine for the fourth year in a row.
The program is attended by women professionally engaged in scientific research in the field of STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics and have an impeccable scientific reputation.

From April 1 to July 1, 2021, the collection of applications continued. In three months, 172 applications were submitted from women scientists from 25 cities of Ukraine, 99 institutions
higher education and 29 institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Among the participants there are 115 candidates of sciences and 52 doctors of sciences.

Our professor Ekaterina Muzyka entered the top ten finalists out of 172 participants.
