The Times Higher Education British rating agency has published an article on modern research areas at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering Oleg Avrunin: “Active international cooperation, joint research projects, the quality of our laboratories and educational equipment, direct contacts with stakeholders and the implementation of developments distinguish KNURE from other universities in Ukraine.” Research led by Professor Avrunin is of great importance, for example, the development of innovative technologies for physical rehabilitation and equipment for minimally invasive surgery.
The pandemic has not stalled innovation or learning at KNURE. For the first time, distance learning was introduced at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which provides for virtual laboratory work to study introscopic medical systems and the use of panoramic 3D video. “This made it possible to conduct distance practice in technical disciplines such as microcontroller systems with maximum realism,” adds Professor Avrunin.
