Kick-off meeting dedicated to the international NanoScint project was held

On February 8, the project “Nanoparticles for application in optoelectronics, scintillator detectors and electroanalytical chemistry (NanoScint)” was launched within the framework of joint BMBF projects on the creation of German-Ukrainian Centers for Advanced Studies (German-Ukrainian Cores of Excellence).
At the launch event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, scientists of the department took part:
professors Valery Semenets, Ekaterina Muzyka, Oleg Avrunin, associate professors Dmitry Snezhko, and Yuri Zholudov, representatives of partner institutions, in particular from the institute Quantum Optics University of Hannover. integration, Igor Taranov – acting Director General of the Science and Innovation Directorate, Head of the Innovation Development Expert Group, Sergey Lisnichenko – General Director of DEinternational LLC, Procurator of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Mikhail Leshchenko – Science Adviser of the German Embassy in Ukraine, representatives of the NFGU and the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine and others.

More than 90 people took part in the meeting. During the online event, representatives of the participants of all 12 projects that passed the competitive selection, in particular, the scientific department of the German Embassy in Ukraine announced the official start of the first stage of the project.

The aim of the German-Ukrainian Centers of Excellence is to support Ukraine in expanding research cooperation, creating sustainable bilateral research structures, promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology and raising the profile of Germany as a place for research and innovation in the international competition.
This project allows the development of scientific schools through joint research.
